What are the fares from the airport to the hotels in Waikiki?

What are the transport options? Are there any good shuttle deals?

Thanks in advance.

Kev

There are taxis, shuttle vans, limos and The Bus (limited luggage).

We chose to go with Robert's who guaranteed a maxim of 5 stops and the excellent price of just $8.

BTW: it was also the same price from our hotel to the pier and from the pier back to the airport.

hth :)

In December we used Roberts (have used them for over 10 years) and cost was $20 r/t pp. They meet you right at plane and escort you to baggage claim, and handle all luggage thru to hotel. Think it is less expensive from hotel to port. Very well established company.

The best reviews I've read have been for Johnny Cab Hawaii, Hawaii23 (although we had a communication issue with them), and for Roberts. Johnny Cab & Hawaii offer private car service and Roberts offers a multi-stop shuttle. Roberts also has contracts with some of the hotels to offer a more "express" shuttle of sorts.

Here are the current one-way airport to Waikiki costs listed on each website:

Johnny Cab: $25 for up to three passengers

Hawaii 23: $23 for up to three passengers

Roberts: $13 per person

Hope that helps!

Does someone know what it would cost to just take a normal cab waiting at airport (without pre-ordering) ?

Thanks,

I believe you now have to make advance reservations for Roberts Hotel Shuttle which is $13 O/W according to the website. We used to always use them and just walk outside from baggage claim and hop on the next shuttle bus into Waikiki. When we went to HNL in January, we learned that Roberts is no longer the walk-up shuttle service. Unfortunately, I forget the name of the company that won the contract and now offers the service. But, any of the helpful folks outside of baggage claim can point you in the right direction.

I believe the taxi fare from HNL airport to Waikiki would be in the $35 range.

We did the feb. 23 POA cruise. Tried Hawaii23 but they were already booked several days in advance. They recommended Johnny which we used. He was a nice guy $25. He said we could text him for a ride to the pier three days later. I texted a couple hours before we wanted to leave and he never answered. We ended up using Alex with Kings for maybe $2 more and he was excellent. Used him twice. He was very prompt and informative.

We were in Hawaii just before Christmas, to do a POA cruise, plus have a few days in Honolulu. We used SpeediShuttle to get from the airport to our Waikiki hotel, and return. Did not prebook, just walked out of the airport and picked one up, booked return at the same time, as it was supposedly cheaper. Cost us US$53.57 including the add-on tax, for 2 of us. I was impressed that they phoned us at our hotel the night before our return to the airport (which was 10 days after we booked it on arrival) to confirm pickup time. All efficient and timely.

  • 1 year later...

We hired Hawaii 23 for round trip transportation between the Honolulu airport and our hotel for 4 of us as well as for an all day tour of the island for six adults. We were extremely happy with the service provided. Brett was on time for all three pick-ups and provided us with a lot of information on the island as well. For our tour of the island he was very flexible, tailoring the tour to our interests and even extended the half-day tour planned into an all-day tour because we were having such a lovely time. We felt that the prices for the airport transportation as well as the sightseeing tour were very reasonable and would highly recommend Hawaii 23, and especially Brett.
