southern most point from cruise dock

Regardless of where you dock, it's a bit over a mile to the southernmost point. Carnival often docks at the Navy Mole and you have to take a shuttle off Navy property but you will still be dropped off basically a mile away.

There's lots to see on either Duval or Whitehead on the walk down. you might want to do some internet searching as there's a bit too much to just list. Most of the commercial stuff is on Duval - shops, restaurants, bars, bars, bars...

Whitehead is a bit quieter and it's where the Hemingway house, Lighthouse Museum as well as Mile Marker 0 (it's not as exciting as it's made out to be)

I like the walk up Whitehead. You can pick it up by leaving the docks along side of the big, red Custom's House building and crossing Front Street. The first thing you come to is the Audubon House on your left, then the Green Parrot Bar, and farther along the Hemingway house. On the right-hand side of the street just past the Hem house is the lighthouse and lighthouse keepers museum. At the corner of Whitehead and Petronia there's a small shopping area which might be open depending on when you pass, but it's worth it to walk along Petronia to the right for a few blocks. You will see a number of nice shops on the left-hand side but I think the best is Besame Mucho on the right at #315 ---> http://www.besamemucho.net/

Breakfast possibilities include Bliss but only on Sunday morning or La Creperie or Blue Heaven.

Once you hit the Southernmost Point, walk the one block over to Duval on South Street and make your way back.
