CAS Drink Card

I have been invited to a slot tournament cruise with amenities such as free room, priority check-in and a drink card for the casino for myself and my husband. I need some help knowing how this works. I assume this is only for fpdrinks served to me at a slot machine or table by a waiter? What drinks I am allowed? Anything or is it limited ( like with a price limit or not top- shelf or no martinis)? How strict are they? We gamble but not excessively so if I throw $20 in but only press the button every few minutes ( to drag out my $ LOL), is it the type of thing where they look to make sure you spent x amount in last x minutes? Or is it much more casual than that?

Just off the Sun 2 weeks ago, so this is my experience: Not sure which beers you can get (not a beer drinker), but you can get wine (chardonnay and a red) and you can get a martini or other mixed drink - they'll just use well liquor for them. Examples: I can order a Jim Beam and diet Coke, but my mom had to pay an extra $3 for an Amaretto on the rocks (it's a higher tier liquor). I would have had to pay extra for Jack Daniels though. I've ordered cranberry and vodka and cosmo's, but they weren't made with Grey Goose. They'll let you know what's included when you order, and they're very patient. :) If you give the servers a tip of a buck or two (or five depending on how awesome they've been...), they'll keep you well-lubricated. :) Heck, I'd get asked if I wanted a drink every time I even walked through the casino! :D Hope that helps give you an idea of how it works - any other questions, ask away.

You're very welcome! Happy to help. Just be prepared for the servers to scan your room key for orders (at the beginning at least). You won't get charged or a receipt or anything - it's just their tracking system for orders. With no receipt, there's no way to write in a tip - I made quite a few trips to the cashiers cage for $1s. :o Enjoy your cruise and good luck in the tournament! Comped cruises are the best! :D

CAS comps are great. Drinks are very free flowing in the casino. You can also just sit at the bar and drink, or leave with a last drink. Usually there is a casino cocktail party right after sail away.

Enjoy...have fun

Casino bar?!?! This is part of what I was asking. On BA or GA, what is the casino bar? Are you talking about the one that has the poker machines at it? Can I really sit there and drink if not playing? That would be awesome!

Yes, the bar where the poker machines are.

Yes, you can really sit there and drink, playing or not.

Awesome, huh? LOL

If you sit there very long without playing very long, you can expect them to not comp you drinks all night. At some point, they will gladly take your room key and charge you vs comping them.

My wife is a $0.25 player and will spend more money tipping the bar tender than she spends playing video poker, but she does play.

Just off the Breakaway on January 30th. I found the drink options confusing in the casino. I asked for a list but was told one was not available. Merlot is permitted but there is a surcharge for Pinot Noir. No martinis permitted. Pellagrino (large bottle) not permitted. When I say drinks are not permitted, they are not free. There is a surcharge involved.
