Gotta get a "supermoon" pic... (not sure what is so super - it always looks great to me)

Our area had only 1 night where we could get pictures of the super moon.

This is all I could get:

What a shock. I picked this one. Looked at all the others and this was my best for the week.

Ah, marching band. One daughter did two years, then moved to a school that didn't have a football team or marching band, the other did four years of color guard AND winter guard. Danged expensive, but worth it.

Is your son a freshman or did he start later?

He's a soph but it's his first year in marching because we moved too late to get in last year. He did orchestra and jazz 1 his first year - and was first chair by mid season.

He plays guitar and is now starting on the piano. All his old man could do at that age was wail on the skins :).

Do you think that he will try for a music scholarship for college?

He wants to be an attorney, and I told him I can only pay for 4years of college, so it's either a band or an academic scholarship for his 4 year degree, then I'll take care of law school, or he's taking out loans.

He's straight A's so either way he'll be fine.

I'm a very lucky dad. (His sister is straight A's too!)

Any idea what that is at about 5:30? Is it a crater? or a sun reflection?

You certainly are!!

Certainly hope all goes well over the next several years for him to become a lawyer. I taught high school math and science and college physics to pay for my law degree. That was many, many years ago.
