Historical Question - SS Israel - Haifa to NY

Greetings, this is my first post.

I have searched but cannot locate information about the SS Israel. I am fairly certain that was the name of a boat that landed in New York after a 2 week journey from Haifa, Israel, on April 20, 1964, with a stopover in Madeira, Spain.

I am not 100% certain of the boat's name, but the range of possibilities is small, and the date is certain. Is there any way I can obtain pertinent information, such as the correct name of the boat, the precise time it docked, and anything else available concerning it (perhaps even brochures?)

Thank you.

Perhaps it was the SS Shalom. See this Wikipedia article:

This has some interesting information:

Here are pictures of her. News of her building and what she was built for.

If you can't find her she is on page two of three pages.

Here is another site from when she was built.

This site seems to be memorabilia?
