Precruise hotel New York

We will be cruising out of New York in June 2016 and are looking for a pre cruise hotel. We plan to spend 4 days before cruise leaves. We have the hotels narrowed down to Doubletree Suites in Times Square or Marriott Marquis in Times Square. Any opinions?

We normally stop at Marriott for drinks, really nice revolving bar overlooking Broadway on approx. 17th floor, huge hotel. I like Doubletree hotels this one entrance is on Broadway . I prefer being a block or 2 away. I sure they are both great hotels.

Both are well located, quality hotels. I'd book the one that was cheaper for what was being offered if it came down to those two.

Of the three, I like the Marriott Marquis the best.

We've stayed at both hotels. I prefer the Doubletree because it's a 2 room suite with a separate living room, rather than just a hotel room.

We prefer to stay in/near Times Square because we go to NYC for theater weekends, but many people do not enjoy the craziness and crowds of TS.
