Nice France good day tour companies

Can someone please recommend a good company for Nice/Eze day tour from Cruise ship pier?

On our cruise last October, Nice was the only port we took a RCI ship excursion. The time in Nice itself was a bit rushed but we had a lovely lunch in Eze with plenty of time to shop and explore, then continued on to Monaco and had a guided nice tour of the old city, then time to shop and visit Monte Carlo casino.

You have to use Cecile, she is absolutely amazing. I can promise you won't be disappointed! You can also read her reviews on Trip Advisor! I recommend going to Saint-Paul-de-Vence, it is beautiful!

I looked at a few tour operators for Nice/Cannes ports. But I think we're leaning toward using Sylvie Di Cristo. She's highly recommended here and has been extremely responsive to us in the planning phase.

Her website is here:http://www.frenchrivieraguides.net/about-us-sylvie-di-cristo.html

And I know that she is personally available for a few dates between now & the end of the year!

We are just back from our cruise and we used Sylvie for our tour of Eze, Monte Carlo and Monaco she was excellent. I highly recommend her. Although she does book up fast I would see if she has availability.

I know she still has some dates that are open for Oct and Nov.2013.

Thanks

We first went to Eze which is a really quaint medieval village we beat the big tourist buses and had the village to ourselves it was great. We then went to Nice to the market and had some free time. Afterwards we went to Monaco to the palace then to Monte Carlo and some free time in the casino and back to the ship we got back with 30 mins to spare. It was a really good tour and before you begin she will confirm what you want to do. It's a really beautiful area. You will love it!

We went with smartcruisetours.com which have had ok reviews on here but ask for guy he was amazing a fab driver with amazing commentary. We did Monte Carlo Monaco and eze for four and a half hours for 220 euros which I thought was a fab price this was in a taxi which seated 8 and the price was the same for any amount of people we had 4 but it would be so economical with 8 !

We toured with Ingrid of Kultours -- seven of us in her 8-person van. She met us at the pier and took us to Eze, Nice and St. Paul.

She's highly recommended here and on Trip Advisor http://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g187234-d3319441-r176891207-Kultours_Private_Day_Tours-Nice_French_Riviera_Cote_d_Azur_Provence.html

She's very flexible, knowledgeable, speaks several languages, tours around with you like an old friend.

We toured with Ingrid of Kultours in September. Had a great time. Very flexible with schedule and places to visit. Villefranche was a tender port and the Captain moved up our departure time 2 hours to avoid bad weather. Ingrid adjusted our schedule to fit and even reduced her price for the shortened time. We went to Eze, Nice and St. Paul. I highly recommend her.

Just back from our cruise. We toured with Sylvie Di Cristo also. We had a great time with her. She was very informative about the area and friendly.

I would recommend her to all. Looking for a small group and comfort you can't go wrong.

We toured with Jean-Francois at France Prestige Tours, and it was WONDERFUL! He picked our family of 5 up at the port, and took us all over the place, describing everything. He is from the area & an avid photographer, so has an eye for the things a newcomer would want to see. He tailored our day to our specific needs--with 3 boys we skipped the perfume factory & went to a medieval town, among many other great places! For lunch, Jean-Francois had a beautiful table saved for us at a lovely French bistro in a quaint, walled village. Sorry, I can't remember the names. Next time I will take notes. We are touring again with Jean-Francois this year. Even though it would probably be doable to do on our own, it was just such a wonderful experience we are definitely spending the day with France Prestige Tours again! (Oh, and very reasonable, too!)

A quick note on Jean Francois...I would suggest avoiding this guy..something has changed with him and do some research including trip advisor..we had a terrible experience with him. Most of the other names mentioned here were busy for our dates but just hiring a taxi would have been so much more informative!!

We used Sylvie as well on October 1, 2013. She is absolutely delightful and had us back to the the tender with time to spare. Highly recommend her.

We have toured with both of these marvellous ladies. They are both excellent. We prefer Ingrid but in all honesty they are both so good, I don't think you can go wrong with either.

I second what you said about Jean Francois. We had a terrible experience with him as well. I had the same complaint as you did - hiring a taxi would have been more informative. We were a group of seven who joined the tour through Roll Call I was traveling with my spouse and two relatives. Jean Francois ignored us and spoke almost exclusively to the sister-in-law and niece of the travel agent who had arranged the tour. It was a very uncomfotable experience.
