I have a reservation for alamo for a rental car at the FLL airport after the cruise is over. Is the best thing to do is take a cab to airport after the cruise to pick up car

Just an FYI Dollar has a rental just outside the gate to the Port. It was very convenient.

I believe Avis now has a free shuttle to the port from their 17th St. location.

Yes ...Dollar shares the same office/counter with Thrifty and they are the closest being just outside the PE gate...We have used Thrifty a couple of times.

Yes, Alamo/National share a shuttle from the port to FLL - just used it in Feb. Shuttle can take a while though as it will often stop at multiple ships to pick people up.

The Thrifty/Dollar office on Miami Road has a free shuttle to/from Port Everglades.
