These pictures are really nice. I'm curious about the second one. I'm new to photography. How did you get the brown look on everything except the flower? Please use every day language. I don't understand camera-ese :D:o

The first one is the original. No edit. The other one is modified. I adjusted the color temperature a bit, added some shadow, and the trick I use to keep the color in one place is change the focal point of black&white. I use Picasa 3 - free and easy to use:)

Seem a lot of the weekly pictures feature grandchildren this year. This week it was Matthew as we watched Kassi's church make a new Catholic.
