Earliest flight out of MIA?

We are on the Breeze in January and I am going to book our air fare soon.

Is there any chance we can make a flight at 10:15am? Is that too early?

A little reading on the board would reveal the common discussion that 11am would probably be the earliest flight out of Miami.

Yes, that is too early.

Aim for a flight around Noon.

The airport gets very busy so I would recommend checking in at least two hours before your flight.

January is a very busy time between cruises and land vacations on top of just normal business travel and travel by locals.

I would look for a flight around 12:30 to be on the safe side.

No you can't make a 10:15 flight the day you dock.

When booking a flight do not look at what time it takes off. Look at what time you have to be at the AP to check in, clear TSA & board -- usually 1.5 hours earlier so in your case 8:45. Still think you can make it?
