Europe cruises- Allure...Vista....now???

Hello we are a family from the Uk.....we cannot afford the flights over to the US.

Have sailed on Allure and Vista. Now want to cruise again next summer 2017....no new ships in Europe this summer- so have been looking at NCL- Epic.

Any other advice, recommendations.....shame there is not much choice for the big ships in Europe,

Are you only considering new ships?

First, if new ships are your only goal, you are going to limit yourself. But HAL's new ship- launched earlier this year, will be in Europe again next year.

Second, European cruises, Med cruises in particular, are very port intensive. So the ship is less relevant, and the itinerary and the sites in each port are far more important.

Thanks- we used to big ships- not necessary new. Like lots to do- prefer the ship to the ports.

Just not looked at any other cruise lines before.

Take a look at RCCL Independence of the Seas sailing from Southampton. Not as new as Allure or Vista but larger than Vista. Independence gets a much higher review than Vista from the review section at the top of the page. Plenty to do and great entertainment. happy cruising

I'm pretty sure NCL has moved one of their Away (Getaway, I think) ships to northern Europe to do the Baltic itinerary.
