Staying on the Dream while in Nassau

We plan to stay on the ship while in Nassau. Been there many times and just want to experience all there is to do on the ship while in port.

Any suggestions? Would love to do like a galley tour or a bridge tour but don't know if these are offered.

There will not be a galley tour while in port. There will be very few scheduled activities. However, the kid areas will be in full swing with their schedules, the pools, splash areas, etc. will be available as will the spa. By law, the shops must be closed while the ship is in port.

Bridge tours were discontinued after 9/11. There are very rare guests permitted on the bridge now and these are by invitation only.

We had an unplanned stop in Nassau two years ago on the Fantasy and stayed on the ship. Had the adult pool pretty much to ourselves. And most likely will stay on when we dock there in June on the Dream, unless my kids allow us to join them in whatever they have planned. As previously stated, there will be no planned activities, but there will be movies on the Funnelvision and the Buena Vista Theater and the dining rooms will be open as usual. Because it will be in port, shops will be closed.

We are fans of hanging in the adult pool area....in our experience, it was just as busy as the sea day... BUT..I'll take being on the ship any day over getting off in Nassau... just another sea day full of relaxation time for us.

Sounds like more and more people are getting wise to the advantages of staying onboard in port.
