I was thinking of doing this the tubing and waterfall excursion through Marks Tours. The description is almost identical to the one Royal Caribbean offers, but is half the price. I was wondering if anyone has done tours through Marks Tours before and if so, what they thought. Thank you!

We did this same tour through Mark last year. He was amazing and a class act. He is very good at catering his tour to any of your specific interests. He also does a great job of helping you avoid any vendors at the waterfall. I have never seen any bad reviews about his tours. Enjoy your time in Jamaica!

OMG! I have nothing but GREAT things to say about Mark! He is an AMAZING tour guide and is such a neat guy! I have actually been a TA for over 25 years and have cruise a lot. I typically escort a cruise group every year and our last one had a stop in Jamaica. I messaged Mark and from day one he was so helpful.. and took such wonderful care of my entire group. He went over an beyond to make our tour of his beautiful island a memorable one!!

Since we have been back.. I would have no problem referring him to any and all my clients and friends as I know they will all be in GREAT hands!

A HUGE THANK YOU to Mark Morris for taking such pride in his tours and his beautiful island.. I can not wait to go back!

Boyle Family! ;)

I'm glad to see so many people saying such good things about Mark! I feel like he tends to get over looked on CC. He even called me on Christmas (yes actually Christmas Day) to wish my family a merry Christmas. I'll never forget that gesture!

You won't regret using him!

I have been on Mark's tours a number of times. We couldn't go to Jamaica without booking Mark's Dunns River Falls and river tubing adventure! I have a big group going on a cruise in November, and I have already booked Mark's Tours to ensure that he is available for us!

Mark is an excellent tour guide who is very proud of his country. He provides reliable, clean, air conditioned transportation. While the cruise line offers tours to Dunns River Falls, those tours are not comparable to Mark's. Mark's tour provides a far superior experience. I do not think you can go wrong booking a tour with Mark!

I used Mark Morris for a Cruise Critic Roll Call group tour...

It was one of the BEST Tours I have ever been on during any of my 30 cruises.. We had close to 50 in our group broken up into 2 buses. One with Mark as our guide and the other with one of his wonderful assistants, I wish I could remember her name as she was so sweet

From the 1st day I contacted him to the day we meet in person he was so helpful and Professional. The Day of the Tour he made us feel safe and we all enjoyed the day to the fullest... At the Falls he arranged for us to use the exit after climbing the falls and we avoided the market where they try to force you to buy their items.

I still hear from Mark on holidays and whenever there is a disaster in my area (Tornado Allley - Oklahoma)

IF you are comparing this tour to a ships tour there is NO COMARISON. Mark gives you personal attention that you wont receive with the over booked cruise tours where you are just a number.

I look forward to the day when we return to Ocho Rios and meet up with Mark again.. I can say with 100% certainty that you will not regreat booking with Mark.

We just returned from our cruise to Jamaica and used Mark. He was awesome. So knowledgeble about the island. We went to Dunn's River Falls and climbed without a guide but followed the groups ahead of us and had no problem. The vendors did not bother us as Mark had us lock our things on the bus so we had no money with us. His wife was with us and took us shopping after the Falls. They even served us some island fruit from their yard - YUM. I hghly recommend Marks tours.

We have been to Jamaica twice in the last 2 years and have used Mark Tours both times. Mark and his wife are wonderful people. On both our tours, we had Mark take us to Dunn River Falls and tubing. He will also take you on a small tour of the island. He caters the tour to what you want to do. Just drop him an email and tell him what you would like to do and Mark will do his best to personalize a tour for you and your family. Mark and his wife are very knowledgeable about the island and will even take you to a great place to have lunch. If you are sailing into Falmouth, be aware that most of the activities in Jamaica are about an hour drive from the port. But enjoy the ride, because Mark will tell lots of information and stories about the island and he is even known to sing a song or two. The Falls take about an hour to climb and the tubing is roughly another hour. All of Mark's vehicles are very clean and air conditioned. He has different size vehicles depending on the size of your group. On our last tour this past June, one of Mark's vans comfortably cruised all 10 of us in our group. I can't say enough about Mark's tours. I cannot imagine using anyone else. He treats you with respect and makes you feel as though you have known him for years. My wife and I plan to return to Jamaica and stay at one of the resorts in the next couple years. We will not hesitate to call Mark again! I hope this reply helps.

We also toured with Mark Morris tours-- his wife led our tour and treated us very well given that I was 5 months pregnant and couldn't do many of the things that were offered as shore excursions. We loved the garden we toured (translated it means Paradise) and enjoyed walking across the waterfall (despite some fear on the part of the tour leaders that I'd fall). We also enjoyed going to see his Dad's pottery shop-- he let us see his workshop and kilns and his work is lovely! We were glad to have a tour guide who ran interference to make sure that no one was overly agressive in selling us things.

My family and I just returned from a Carnival cruise this morning. I read some reviews on here an went with Mark Morris Tours when we stopped at the port of Ocho Rios. I absolutely can't say enough wonderful things about them. Mark and his wife, Janese met us at the port in a very CLEAN at least 15 passenger van that was about 7 years old. It was the cleanest tour van I have ever been in in all my cruise tours over my 8-9 cruises. They drove us to Dunn River Falls and even gave us "the talk" about how to cope and handle the pushy vendors we may encounter. His wife walked us down to the beach where she took our clothes and carried them back to the van for us. On the way to the beach she showed us where to rent water shoes if needed and where we would end the climb. She told us we could find a tour guide and hold hands up with them but assured us we would be able to climb alone. We all decoded to head out on our own and it was great. It took about an hour from start to finish because some parts were more crowded then others. Definitely take a water camera because getting wet is pretty much a definite because one tour guides splash water on purpose. Once we finished climbing the falls we met Mark and his wife back at the van. He then asked if we were interested in water tubing but we said we would prefer a little tour of the area and some shopping. He showed us some sites and then took us to his dads house where we got to see pottery his dad made and the kiln room. They took us to some shops where I could buy coffee and even walked in with us to make sure we were finding what we wanted. From there we went to Scotchies and had delicious jerk pork and chicken. Mark even brought samples to us while we waited in line and showed us the menu and converted the prices to American money for us prior to us ordering. I absolutely would recommend them to anyone. We were a little apprehensive about getting off the ship in Jamaica after hearing so many negative things but I am telling you we had an amazing time and there isn't one bad thing we could say. You could tell mark and his wife are proud Jamaicans and have a true love of their country. We gave them a great tip because our tour was $40 a person and we know $20 of that was entry to the Falls. The time we spent with Mark Morris tours was absolutely worth it. When we make it back to Jamaica we will be giving them our business again.

“Don't Miss Mark Morris Tours”

x.gif Our family took a cruise on the Freedom of the Seas in June 2013. After reading excellent Trip Advisor reviews about Mark Morris in Jamaica we booked a day tour with him. Believe me the reviews do not even do the man justice. He is the consummate tour guide: an amazing communicator before, during and after the tour, totally interested in meeting his customers’ needs with good humor, patience and competence. Before arriving in Jamaica we changed our requests several times because our family couldn’t agree on what to do. Different age groups had varying wishes. Our family group was made up of 5 adults and four kids ages 12- 18. With Mark’s flexibility we were able to customize the tour to get everyone to the place they wanted to go. He picked us up at the cruise port a half hour after the ship docked and took us on our sightseeing adventure. We took in Dunn’s Falls, horseback riding in the sea, and Scotchies for lunch with tasty authentic jerk chicken at a reasonable price. Mark also accommodated our request to see a little of the Jamaican countryside and culture. Mark was accompanied by his beautiful wife who graciously talked to us about Jamaican culture including foods and family life. Both of them shared their love for Jamaica and taught us a lot.

Mark was very aware of the ship’s time and ensured our arrival back at the port in plenty of time.

It is obvious that he enjoys his work and likes people. The tour was enjoyable and educational and totally satisfying. I strongly recommend Mark Morris Tours for anyone who wants to experience the best tour experience available in Jamaica mon.

We were on a family trip in June on the Freedom of the Seas- 10 people ages grandparents to 12- and toured with Mark in Jamaica. Of course there were a few varied requests- and he was able to meet all of our requests. In addition Mark and his wife were wonderful tour guides. Mark is very knowedgeable and articulate and a great historian to teach us about his county- even gave the kids pop quizes. He told us took us to a great local luncheon and we enjoyed the Jamaican cusine. He is not to be misses. Was on time and had us back to the ship at a not "nail-biting" time!

My wife and I recently (Aug. 7th or so) went on a tour with Mark. We hiked Dunn's River Falls and did the river-tubing activity. We had a great time. Mark is very personable and professional - he told us information about Jamaican culture and history, and even shared some mangoes from his garden (which were extremely tasty, and I'm not a big fan of mangoes!) We would heartily recommend him to anyone interested in visiting Jamaica.:)

also just did DRF and river tubing on the white river with mark's tours. an excellent human being, a great representative for Jamaica. he is polite and friendly and knowledgeable including on many U.S. matters. he delivers you to the sites and makes sure you are on your way and is waiting for you at the appointed location. yes, his backyard mangos were sweet and delicious as well as welcome. near the end of the tour he offered clients the option of getting some shopping in. mark morris is highly recommended.
