Transfer from MIA to POM

We're looking for transportation from airport to pier, cruise line cutoff is at 1:00PM and we don't land until 1:20 so we will need to get to POM on on own.

Any help or on cost?

taxi is flat rate $27 per vehicle (plus tip) ... it usually costs SIGNIFICANTLY less than the cruise line transfer

Mini van and SUV taxi are available in addition to standard sedans, but you may have to wait a few minutes (for larger group or excess luggage)

taxi stands are clearly marked and served by a dispatcher; I've never had to wait long for a taxi, there are a TON and they load fast during 'normal' hours

expect about a 20 minute ride to the cruise port

p.s. locals will recommend you pay cash even tho most taxi in Miami can accept a credit card. :rolleyes:

Take a taxi but.........

What time is your cruise.

You know you need to board 90 minutes before departure.

And if your plane is late.........

I would not cut it tight.

A flight delay or a cancellation can ruin your vacation.

I would have flown in the day before but not in the afternoon.

1. I would call my airline to see about flying standby earlier in the day

2. I would only travel with carry-on bags! Waiting for checked bags at MIA can take another 20-30+ minutes out of an already tight schedule.

3. I would research the best way to make your way to the first port in case you miss the ship

Date?? Coming from Michigan in winter...big risk. Hope you have no connections.

When is ship departure time? If 5:00.... gulp:eek:
