critcatny Posted October 7, 2014 #1 Share Posted October 7, 2014 What are the chances of getting another special offer (such as casino offer) twice within 9 months? I recv'd my 1st ever casino offer and although it said to book by Oct 16, before I had a chance it was removed. When I called, they said once the amt of rooms for that price sells out, they take it off. Wish I would've know that....... Anyway, I did book a balcony with obstructed view for next year and keep checking for a lower price. I still have a lot of time (we cruise next May). Any ideas how often they send special offers out? Thanks.
evandbob Posted October 7, 2014 #2 Share Posted October 7, 2014 I hadn't received a casino offer in over 10 years. I got my 1st a few weeks ago, and booked using that promotion. I received my 2nd casino offer yesterday. Go figure.

Who knows what their criteria is.... The casino offer I got in September also shows it is good until October 16th. But mine didn't disappear. It is still there today. That seems odd that it would disappear before it expired. I've never had that happen before. Are you sure you have entered your VIFP on Carnival's website before viewing your offers? My computer likes to dump cookies on a regular basis, so I'm continually having to reenter my VIFP number.
critcatny Posted October 7, 2014 Author #5 Share Posted October 7, 2014 Yes I always enter my VIFP #. I was very disappointed to say the least when it was gone. So I called Carnival and was told that although it has an expiration date, once they sell a certain amt of rooms at that price they discontinue the offer. It is strictly per sailing. I still see the casino offer on my "deals" but when I put in the specific sailing I am looking for, then nothing shows up. I hope they send me another one b/c I booked ES but the price is still high. It is for the 5/18/15 on the Legend to Alaska. Guess I'll just wait and see. Thanks everyone.

critcatny Posted October 8, 2014 Author #8 Share Posted October 8, 2014 I believe it's the regular casino offer but I'm not sure bc I've only gotten it once and not sure which one it was. I didn't see it say "premier" on the offer.
cccer Posted October 8, 2014 #9 Share Posted October 8, 2014 Last five cruises I have booked through casino rate with one premier cruise. Last year I got nothing at all. I checked my wife's number and she had a casino offer. Not as much casino cash but she does not play as much. This past month I have gotten three different offers for the casino rate, unfortunately none are offered for the cruise we are looking at next year. I guess I have not seen much of a pattern as to when you get an offer. We cruise once a year and I did notice that my two best offers were when we did not cruise Carnival and went RCL. Got some really good offers the following year.
