carribean which route to choose?

Recommended Posts

Hi we have done 4 cruises now and have cruised the med a couple of times with Princess and RCI and have decided our next cruise will be the carribean islands....but which route? We plan to cruise in Feb 2017 hopefully 14 nts but have no idea as to which islands to see.

we are not just beach travellers we like history, things to see etc. I want to swim with dolphins somewhere during this trip too. We would apreciate any suggestions you are Willing to share.... many thanks.

With 14 nights, you can find many ships that alternate 7 day cruises between East and West, that would give you both from one ship.

Take a look at the 14 night cruises (real 14 night...not back to back) on the Celebrity Eclipse. They are round trip from Miami (easy to get direct flights from the UK) and stop at 7 different Caribbean ports (in the warmer southern part). As one who has cruised (and traveled) extensively all over the world we do think the Caribbean is more about sun and sand...then history and sites. But there are alternatives on many islands for those that have no interest in enjoying the weather, beaches, etc.

Here is an Eclipse itinerary in February:

14 Days Caribbean-Southern

Celebrity Cruises • Celebrity Eclipse

Miami, Kralendijk, Willemstad/Curacao, Oranjestad, St. Lucia/Castries, Bridgetown, Basseterre, Philipsburg/St. Maarten, Miami

1 departure date: Feb 5 2017

This sailing overnights in Aruba. We just booked a similar 14-day itinerary for March, 2018, with an overnight in Curacao, where we have never been before. Other stops are familiar.
