PEI - schedule

We are planning to go on a New England/Canada cruise with HAL and will be in Charlottetown, PEI from 8am to 5pm. We are planning to rent a car.

Tom's guides suggest two trips: 1) North, to Anne of Green Gables, National Park towards Teapot rock, and 2) West, through Victoria to Confederation Bridge.

Do you think both of them are doable in one day? Or you think it is pushing it and we will rush too much to make them both? If two are not doable, which of these destinations provide better photo opportunities?

We pretty much did the same thing, we had the same port times and no trouble getting back. We did not go to Green Gables so we saved time there, but we spent about 1 1/2 hours at the Confederation Bridge and area around it.

Same drive we did twice now and had no trouble getting back to our ship.

This should be no problem if you do not take too long in any place. Be sure to go to North Rustico harbour which is very scenic for a quick peek.

North Rustico Harbour was my favourite place on the drive. We chatted with a fisherman who was cleaning mackerel, very friendly people in PEI.

Thank you for your suggestions! We will do the drive! Any other places we should not miss on this loop? Villages, stores, beautiful photo opportunities?

We have driven the northern part of PEI twice, but we stopped so many times for photos that we made it only as far as Malpeque before taking Hwy 2 back to Charlottetown.
