meatball_nyc Posted October 19, 2014 #1 Share Posted October 19, 2014 (edited) http://portbermudawebcam.com Back up and running after being down all day yesterday. It went out mid morning on Saturday, October 18. Looks like the metal walkway had washed away. They are now installing new metal walkways. There also seems to be a naval boat docked right behind Heritage Wharf. Can someone give more info on that boat? Thanks. ~Robin Every Day at Sea is a Great Day Edited October 19, 2014 by meatball_nyc

wwcruisers Posted October 19, 2014 #5 Share Posted October 19, 2014 Thanks for posting that. If you just stumbled onto that webcam, you would have no idea what Bermuda has been through, in the last 48 hours! Clearly, most things at Royal Naval Dockyard were built to withstand any kind of storm.
meatball_nyc Posted October 19, 2014 Author #6 Share Posted October 19, 2014 You're welcome wwcruisers. Watching the webcam on Friday afternoon and night was pretty scary. I didn't think anything would be standing on Saturday. Glad to see that Bermuda is recovering so well. Thank you to iheartbda for the photo of those sheep! I thought they may have been washed away into the ocean. Here is a CC article just posted that maybe of interest. Bermuda is ready to start accepting ships this week. GypRasc Posted October 19, 2014 #7 Share Posted October 19, 2014 Thanks for the info. My ship docks there this coming Sat & I was wondering if it would still be going there or not. I guess if ships will be docking on Wed then Sat would be a go as well.

I guess they new they were gonna get damaged from the rough surf.

Now, that's what I call preparing for a hurricane!! ;) I too, was relieved to see the sheep, going about their business as usual, and to hear that cruise ships will be returning soon.
