Laurab23 Posted May 26, 2015 #1 Share Posted May 26, 2015 When we get off the boat will there be stands there offering different water and land tours? If so, what will be offered? Will be there next week and still not sure what we want to do there. Laura
flowers44 Posted May 26, 2015 #2 Share Posted May 26, 2015 Yes, once you get onto land from the pier, there are several kiosks that offer different tours. Many people who travel to Bermuda, make it a DIY vacation and use public transportation to get around the island. It is very easy to navigate the entire island by bus or ferry. The place to decide is NOT when you step off the ship. If you don't know what you want to see (there are a hundred things to do), standing in the HOT sun, not knowing if you brought the right clothes, shoes, water, enough CASH, maps, etc. does not make sense. Budgeting yout time to see certain attractions on time/ during open hours/ meals/ ferry schedules etc. is important for first-timers. If you can't pick WHICH sites to see, think about taking a Blue-Flagged taxi and have him give you a tour of the island. You can arrange one from info here on this board! Dozens of ships can take you to Bermuda, but it is an island that you will only find once in a lifetime. Don't spend precious time (you probably only have 2 or 3 nights) haggling over tours. The next time you go, you can fine tune it based on this trip highlights. I've been there a dozen times and it NEVER gets boring or mundane. Enjoy your stay! - Miriam

njhorseman Posted May 28, 2015 #7 Share Posted May 28, 2015 (edited) Is this the building where you buy your bus and ferry tickets? No...that's where you buy tickets for various privately operated activities and excursions. Look at the sign that's on the top of the building...it describes the types of activities they offer. Bus and ferry passes and tokens are sold right where you get off your ship in the Kings Wharf and Heritage Wharf customs buildings.
