optimusprime82 Posted March 26, 2017 #1 Share Posted March 26, 2017 Does anyone know or have reliable resources on what the crew make-up is like on MSC ships, specifically the Divina? I'm interested because I'd like to learn how to say to say simple greetings and phrases to the crew. I know Eastern Europe, India, and the Philippines are popular recruiting grounds for other cruise lines. Is that true for MSC as well?
faze41 Posted March 26, 2017 #2 Share Posted March 26, 2017 Last time I was on Divina, cleaning crew was mostly Filpino, our waiter in LeMuse was Italian, our butler was from India, spa people mostly from Europe and activities people were a real mixed bag from everywhere (mostly European, Spain, France, England, Italy). Rare Beamafar Posted March 26, 2017 #3 Share Posted March 26, 2017 Yes, that's true. There are a good number of the crew from Bali, too and Honduras. Here are some you might like to start with: Balinese: Terima kasih - thank you Selamat pagi - good morning Selamat sianc - good afternoon Selamat malam - good evening Selamat tidur - good night Ketemu - see you later Bulgaria Blagodaria - thank you Romania Multumesc - thank you Cu plācere - you're welcome Hindi Shukriya - thank you
lakelorain Posted March 26, 2017 #4 Share Posted March 26, 2017 Many crew members speak at least 3 or 4 languages. I would suggest some Italian as there are Italians at all levels on MSC.

I use those from time to time.
