Whale watching excursion Dec 2014

I am trying to find a private operator who offers the whale watching tour for December 2014.

I tried with Dive Dominica and they say you have to book through the cruise line.

Besides Dive Dominica, Captain Jerry with Island Style Fishing, is ther another company that offers the tour?

I contacted AlDive Dominica, and they ask a minimum of 6 persons, and they want your credit card on file.

Has anyone booked this tour with AlDive?

If yes, what is you experience with them?

We are booked with Captain Jerry earlier in Dec. Someone on our roll call here on CC asked if anyone was interested & got 6 of us together for it. We don't pay till we get there.

I have read good things and also bad things about Capt. Jerry. Is he the same than Island Style Fishing Co?

Apparently there are a lot of different types of whales to see. The main type is the sperm whale that is there year round. Also dolphins. I guess there is no guarantee, but I think the winter would be best. We are going in Dec. check out the site for captain jerry, just google.

We did the Whale Watching Tour thru the ship last Feb. We saw lots of whales and dolphins. Loved it!;)

Do you remember if it was a big boat ? Any shade? How about movement for people who is prone to sea sickness?

DH is a big whale fan and he's never seen Sperm whales. I've booked us a Princess ship's tour on a Zodiac next March. Are there independent operators in Dominica that offer Zodiac tours that I should be looking at instead?

we sail in January and are just going to book the tour thru celebrity

we don't usually do ship tours ....we like to BEACH it ...but I just love whales and would love the opportunity to see them
