COCO CAY - Nature Trail Question

I know there is a "nature trail" excursion but wondering if you can walk this same area on your own, not as part of the excursion, I would assume just without a tour guide? I've only been able to find one map and it seems pretty doable, just not sure this area is "open to the public" so to speak or restricted only to those who pay for the excursion. Thanks for any info. :)
