Heads up if you're booked on Brilliance out of Barcelona this year! This affected an excursion we were on:

"Dear Brilliance of the Seas Guest,

We are excited to have you onboard soon and would like to provide you with an update to your upcoming sailing. Due to the current unpredictability of Turkey, and taking our guests’ and crew members’ safety and wellbeing into account, Royal Caribbean has decided to remove Ephesus (Kusadasi) from all cruise itineraries for the remainder of the 2017 Mediterranean season. We have been working to find an alternate port and have been able to secure a call to Mykonos, Greece.

Affected Brilliance of the Seas Sailings:

·May 13, 2017

·June 30, 2017

·July 24, 2017

·August 17, 2017

·September 10, 2017

·October 4, 2017

·October 28, 2017

Any shore excursions in Ephesus (Kusadasi) that were purchased through Royal Caribbean International will be refunded in the original form of payment within a week. Please visit cruise planner to purchase shore excursions in Mykonos, Greece.

We truly regret having to take this action and thank you for your understanding and cooperation. Any decision we make is made in an abundance of caution and safety, as your experience in our ports of call is always our utmost priority."

The website still shows Kusadasi excursions but they changed the port to Mykonos. It'll probably take them a few days to make website changes, not a big deal. We'll get our refund eventually. DW is a history teacher, she's a little disappointed we won't see Ephesus ruins but it's an opportunity to do something else in Mykonos....I've never been there before, anything cool to do instead of going to Turkey?
