gatur123fl Posted March 15, 2017 #1 Share Posted March 15, 2017 I am cruising on Majesty on March 20. I got an email yesterday that the itinerary has changed. We will no longer be at sea one day. We will now be docking in Nassau Tuesday at noon, and not leaving until Wednesday at midnight. I wonder why they are dong this? Weather maybe? Biker19 Posted March 15, 2017 #3 Share Posted March 15, 2017 Could be worse - they could have taken you to Freeport.
FTD Posted March 15, 2017 #4 Share Posted March 15, 2017 We are on that cruise too. I am going to miss the sea day!
jamesboat Posted March 15, 2017 #5 Share Posted March 15, 2017 That sounds like a great upgrade. I find it ridiculous to have a sea day when the ship could easily make a port.
onefishtwofish Posted March 16, 2017 #6 Share Posted March 16, 2017 Well...you could still use "sea day in port" and not get off the ship......even though you aren't moving, you can still enjoy the ship - maybe with less people! ;)
Doug S Posted March 16, 2017 #7 Share Posted March 16, 2017 I second the "repairs" comment. To announce it in advance there's likely an issue that needs a bit of port time to address.

onefishtwofish Posted March 17, 2017 #9 Share Posted March 17, 2017 Do you think the casino will be open? My guess is no......I don't recall it being open at any port.....they may do additional activities on board though.......;)
pepdav Posted March 20, 2017 #10 Share Posted March 20, 2017 I was on the cruise that left Mar 13. Day two the intercom went off with shouts of Bravo, Bravo, Bravo. Didn't think nothing of it till the captain came on a little while later and told us the fire in the engine room was extinguished in 2 minutes. Might be related to that. That being said, we had a late departure (boarding started at 5:30pm) due to repairs. She seems to need a lot of them lately.
S.S.Oceanlover Posted March 20, 2017 #11 Share Posted March 20, 2017 Do you think the casino will be open? when Carnival used to overnight in Nassau the casino would open on the ship at 7pm. Don't now if RCI will do that but here's hoping to all the peeps that want to gamble.:) Bill
