Pre Cruise: Stayed across from the port at the Holiday Inn the night before. Room was on points so I am not sure what it would cost. We had a water view and could see a few ships, but not ours from the 8th floor room. Hotel had a restaurant and bar. Food was good. 2 blocks away, walking distance, was a CVS for last minute things. Parking was $25 plus all the throw in taxes that brought it to about $30 for the night.

Cabin: 0201 Suite Forward, Starboard side, 1st cabin behind bridge. Disable suite/ cabin.

Storage was just right for 3 people for 3 days. They had dressers and cabinets that barely fit our 3 days of stuff.

Size: Approx 23' x 25' plus balcony size of approx. 6' x 26' feet (longest on either port or starboard side)

The free bottle of Sparking Brut Dec De Paris was waiting in the cabin.

Door bell works fine and will scare you at first…LOL

While in room, the butler delivered flowers, canapés, and plate of fruit our 1st day. Fruit was bananas, grapes, apple, orange, pear, strawberries, and a kewee (sp).

Bathroom has a walk in shower with no lip. Water pressure is just fine. Plenty big bathroom, but remember, it is for a wheelchair, so I am guessing it is larger then other non disable rooms.

Coffee machine was out for repairs the whole time…BUMMER.

There is a power cord with 6 plug in behind the TV. TV channels are far and few (CNN international, Cartoon, TMC plus the ships stuff is what I remember).

Ship has both a Cagney’s on deck 12 and a Il Adagio on deck 11 plus 1 or 2 other specialty places to eat. Was escorted from land to the Plantation Club, which is across from Cagney’s. Cagney’s was the breakfast and lunch location for suite guests. We did breakfasts there. Food was good.

We only ate in the 2 Main Dining Rooms for dinner. All the meals and services were top notch. No crowds with no waiting to be seated. We found no reason for visiting the specialty dining rooms.

My wife rides a scooter and as we were leaving for the drill, a ships crewmember was about to knock on the door to tell us we could stay in the cabin. Well, he was wrong. She could stay, but us other 2 had to go…Found that out with a letter from the Safety Officer that night. So us walking soles had to meet with all the others that did not make it with the Safety Officer at 5pm Saturday in the Captain’s Cook Lounge. Only 4 guests showed and the Safety Officer had a few pages of names for what I could tell. Hey we did our duty...

Our butler George was lacking in some services so we sicked Karin the concierge on him to straighten him out. He did not want to go get those pretzels I heard about. He said they are on the buffet and he could not pull off of it. Karin told him to go see the baker….walaa, I had pretzels waiting for me when I got back into the cabin before dinner as a snack…Another time my sister ordered room service from him and wanted fries. Again he said there were none. Well, we saw people walking with plates, and on those plates were fries. Ring Ring Karin and wa laaa, fries appeared. Karin has all the rooms as concierge. George has the forward suites and there is another butler for the aft suites.

There were a few very minor flaws in the room like a handle off a cabinet falling off to where we could not use a draw and the door handle plate was missing a screw causing the plate to fall away causing it to catch on clothes….We told Karin when she next checked in with us and it was fixed within 24 hours. For the inconvenience, she sent up another bottle of that bubbly Brut….She also did other little things for us….SHE IS A KEEPER!!!!

Size of ship held approx 2,000 guests. Was good size. No long wait for elevators.

Cabin was hard to control the AC temp. Which reminds me, the theater was so cold the 1st night that I swear I saw meat hanging….and I like cold, but geeze louise, it was COLD. Bring a light jacket or sweater to walk around and see the shows.

I did not care for the comedian. The ships 2 stage shows were good. 1st night the dancers and singing was only about 5 min, then the Cruise Director came on the stage to give the scoop of the cruise The 2nd show was like a singing contest with 3 of their singers and others dancing and singing along. Guests have to vote for the one singer they liked best. There were 2 males and 1 female. The female singer Gina won our night. Not sure if she always wins. Would be a bummer for the other 2 and even worst if the same scores were done every time for the 3rd place singer.

Ship was clean and sparkling if you ask me. I am not much in noticing décor, so I will just say I did not see anything that made me cringe or did not notice it.

Most of the crew that I came into contact with were either from the Philippines or Indonesia. Great bunch of crew members. All the crew that I saw appeared to be happy and were smiling a lot. I was impressed that the officers, both junior and senior were always walking around greeting people in the passageways or in the dining rooms.

Saturday we visited Nassau. Nassau is Nassau…LOL There were 2 or 3 other ships in. Wife has had 2 bad experiences on the last 2 visits here, so she stayed onboard with her scooter this time. My sister and I did a bus tour of the island. Best $39 I have spent in awhile. It has been years since I toured the island, and I enjoyed it.

Sunday we visited Stirrup Cay. Being suite guests, we had a pre arranged time to meet up with Karin at the Captain Cooks Bar. She then escorted us (sister and I (wife stayed on ship with scooter)) down thru the crew area right to the check out machine where they swipe your card. We were on the island boat before all other guests even were seen coming through security. Was a nice perk. Boat was full. Coming back, there was no line and we breezed on to the ship in no time. No issues.

This cruise was a pre April 2015 check out suite life cruise to see if we want to keep the suite then for 7 days. We will!!!!! I find that I can live without the butler as room service is just fine with good enough menu items. What sold me was Karin the concierge and what a good concierge can and will do for their guests. The other perks do not hurt either….LOL

Overall: GOOD Cruise and great customer service from all crew members from the dock workers all the way up to the Staff and Ships Captain. We saw what we wanted. Rested when we wanted. Ate good food. Saw some entertaining shows.

Hope that answers most questions. If you have any, let me know...I will do my best to answer them by digging through all the paperwork I brought home.

For us that would be totally unacceptable. I would be demanding one or free espresso from coffee bar. For us this is our drug of choice.

Thanks for your review.
