Tux?

Seems like 100 yrs ago we were on RCCL Navigator of the Seas out of Florida, with 2 Formal nights.

DH wore a Tux , had he not he would have been out of place!

Things have changed...and most of our recent cruises have been on Carnival out of Galveston.... and we are lucky if we see a tie on Formal night!

I have been seeing that folks are more Formal on Mediterranean/ TA cruises....

We are booked on Celebrity November 2016 TA..... with 3 Formal nights.....

Tux?

Suit?

Sport Coat and Tie?

I am thinking Sport Coat will be the norm on most evenings...add a tie for some specialty restaurants....and Tux for Formal....

Thoughts................

Thanx Trish!!!

My last cruise on celebrity in the med I would say around 30-40% of men were in tux's on formal nights. So in that regard you won't be out of place either in a tux or not. DH always wears a suit and feels that tends to fit in best with all situations, plus he doesn't like to give up the packing space to his tux and has never really enjoyed dressing up anyway.

If your husband would like to weather the Tuxedo. this is a perfect cruise for it with the three formal nights and as mentioned you will see 30 to 40% of the men in the Tuxedos. But a suit with tie is fine or just jacket and nice slacks.

People are more dressy on formals on Celebrity that are crossings.

We cruise Celebrity exclusively. DH wears a tux on formal night, might wear a jacket to a specialty restaurant but does not wear a jacket for regular dinners. He wears nice slacks and long sleeve shirt unless it is a Caribbean cruise then it is usually nice island shirts.
