Excursion on B2B turn around day

We'll be ending one cruise and beginning the next in Barcelona. So far the only excursions shown for that day begin or end at the airport for folks ending or beginning their cruise on that day.

On our last b2b on Princess we found a list of excursions for turnaround day in our cabin and could sign up for them onboard. Just wondering if Celebrity does the same thing.

Generally Celebrity does not. I think you might check you roll call. We are on the Equinox that has a B2B day in Barcelona and there are several day tours organized on the roll call for our cruise.

We've participated in a few Celebrity-sponsored excursions on turnaround day but they weren't available until we were onboard. Very hit-or-miss.

Barcelona is a very easy city to navigate...football stadium, Cathedral, nice meal....

Thanks everyone. So I guess it's wait and see. We'll be in Barcelona for 2 days before the first cruise so I've got some things planned for those 2 days. I was looking for some further away things like Montserrat, etc. for a tour.

Each time there were a generous number of turnaround passengers (in 2013 there were just over 300 B2B passengers) and each time Celebrity had special excursions for B2B passengers available for purchase. We generally do B2B or B2B2B series of cruises, and have noticed that Celebrity does indeed offer turnaround day excursions for their B2B passengers if there are a number of B2B passengers.

For those interested in an easy turnaround day the Barcelona Maritime Museum (Museu Maritim) is close to the cruise port and well worth a visit.

Thanks for the info. The Maritime Museum is something we hope to do during our 2 days before the cruise.

Montserrat very easy to get to by train, there's a specialized train that goes right there. If I were you, I would do that on one of your two pre-cruise days, and save the Maritime Museum and the other nearby attractions for your turnaround day

Do you know if they charge the excursion to the new cruise that's begining that day or the old one that's ending?

Can absolutely endorse that. Unless celebrity are offering that tour which will no doubt be much more expensive.

I have done private tours on the end/start day of a b2b. Post to your roll calls and you might find others interested. A small group in a van is preferable to a larger group with a bus. And even one couple and a guide can be rewarding and economical. With the internet and CC it is easy to find tour companies and guides.
