Do any of the Hawaiian Islands have toll roads, cashless or otherwise?

Thinking of renting a car and have heard some stories about the hidden fees for tolls that are later added to your credit card.

I would appreciate any information as I have been unsuccessful finding out on my own.

I've driven on the four main islands numerous times and do not remember any tolls.

There are no toll roads in Hawaii but that has not stopped a couple for rental car companies from charging for the transponders and from a toll collection company billing people for toll road usage. See below.

Don't know about the other islands, but about a year ago, I had a rental car on Oahu for 10 days and hit just about every major and some not-so-major roads during that time - no toll roads, tunnels or bridges that I recall. :)

U;ve bender seen a toll road...they have no need. Tourists pay for all their stuff!
