Carnival birthday celebration

Does anyone know how Carnival celebrates a passenger's birthday? They asked for my friends BD date when we booked. Thanks so much!

They might sing "happy birthday" at dinner...that's about it.

We just celebrated my husband's birthday in January on a Carnival ship and I wasn't expecting them to do anything. On one of the first evenings when we returned to our cabin there was a card and a tin on the bed with 2 gift certificates in it. One was for the spa for $50 and the other was for a bottle of wine. Certainly was a nice surprise.

We were booked in an inside cabin so it definitely wasn't a suite perk or anything like that. Our friends who were also celebrating a birthday the same day received the gift as well.

I thought it was a very nice gesture on Carnival's part. I hope you'll find the same thing on your cruise!

Was the gifts from the casino? That sounds like them, not Carnival.

I don't think so. We've never spent even a dollar there. I may still have the card around here. I'll take a look around and see if I can find it in my paperwork.
