Emerald Stateroom location expectations

We are booked for the Emerald Princess stateroom P332 which looks awfully close to a lot of stuff. This isn't necessarily where I would have picked for us to be but I was not in charge of this...what can we expect given the location?

TIA!

Great cabin near the International Cafe/Piazza area.

It is centrally located so you should have a pretty smooth ride. Don't think you should have any issues with the Piazza. Nice and close to the International café so you can run out and get coffee and bring it back to the room. A few concerns. Looks like you are under the casino and not sure what type if any noise you will hear. One deck below is possibly a working area so you may or may not hear noise at odd hours. Just not sure.

We had P323, opposite side, for 24 days. I am a light sleeper, never heard a peep from the Piazza or Art Gallery. One night someone was jumping around in the casino, literally, but it ended around midnight. (Perhaps their lucky streak ran out?)

Did have noise from below...particularly the nights before debarkation. I think we were right over the luggage storage room. Pounding and thunking and clunking all night long. While I loved the easy access to the IC and Piazza, next time I would book more forward. That said, my husband the heavy sleeper, heard none of this. Being as your room is outside, plus three rooms aft, you may hear none of this; it can be a room to room thing.

Is there a possibility of you switching to another cabin of the same grade but forward of the elevators? I understand those do not have the noise from below.

On one cruise, a couple at our table for TD had a cabin in that area and loved it. He would roll out of bed nice and early, put on his robe (thankfully :p) and would shoot down the hall to the IC for coffee for him and his wife.

We couldn't do it, DH has to have a balcony more than he needs coffee (but not by much ;)).
