Recommendations for outstanding resort

I am searching for a resort/property that really stands out as a tropical paradise in terms of beauty, atmosphere, service ... think the old tv series Fantasy Island! Am wanting to extend a cruise itinerary and am looking for a spot to truly just sit and enjoy the tropical tranquility with my spouse. Any recommendations? Thank you in advance!

I mean Atlantis is the clear cut favorite and it isn't even close.

Blue Lagoon? Sandals? Both are beautiful. Blue Lagoon is more lush. Sandals is a resort so you'd have more amenities.

If you're hoping for Richardo Montalban to serve you drinks on the beach, I don't think you're going to find anything like that. :)

The Blue Lagoon is beautiful.

If you're going off of just a beach yes Blue lagoon is wonderful.

But Blue Lagoon isn't a resort hotel. It's an private island with a beautiful beach with food and water sports, animal encounters, and the like. I think the OP is looking for a nice place to stay after her cruise is finished. At least I think so. ;)
