Crown and Anchor question

I just booked my first RCI cruise...will I automatically be enrolled in C&A, or do I need to sign up? And if I sign up, should I enroll before or after first cruise?

You can pre-enroll online but you will have to wait until after your cruise for it to become active. It took a few days for my cruise points to show up and give me a status.

You can sign up anytime on the RCI web site. Its not automatic. Your benefits will kick in after your first cruise.

It seems the sign up ahead of time is fairly new - seems like when I was looking into the program a few months ago it was that you could sign up after your cruise. And if you wanted to book another cruise on board, you could get signed up on board.

But a couple of weeks ago I noticed the ability to sign yourself up in advance. Maybe they found it was easier for advance bookings if people already had a number and didn't have to do that step?
