Rare Essiesmom Posted April 20, 2017 #5 Share Posted April 20, 2017 Go to the forum here for the cruise line you are sailing. They can give you an idea of the offerings onboard. EM
cb at sea Posted April 20, 2017 #6 Share Posted April 20, 2017 Research your ports (a guidebook is a great way to do that!), and you'll find the more you know about your ports, the better time you'll have ashore...and, you may find that the things that interest you require no pricey excursions! Saving $$ is always a bonus! All of the mass market lines have great kid's clubs, with very age appropriate activities, so do give that a try with your 5 year old! Those services are included, and kids LOVE them! Go to the main boards, find your cruise line and and start reading posts...you will come across copies of the daily newsletter, and that will give you an idea of activities. Few lines have "themes", and the ones that do certainly don't expect "costumes" or anything like that!
