Caribbean cruise for December this year on the Regal Princess and was wondering if anyone knows is there a set schedule for the formal nights and Captain's reception? I want to book the specialty restaurants early and some spa treatments and would like to know which nights these will be. Thank you for your help.

The introduction of the officers and champagne toast by the Captain in the Piazza is usually the first formal night--which is usually the first sea day.

The Captain's Circle party for past guests is usually the second formal night--which on a seven night cruise is usually the last sea day, unless that is the final night of the cruise; in that case the second formal may be the night before even if a port day.

...unless that day is a very late port call not sailing until after 6:00; if that is the case both formal nights could be close together at the beginning of the cruise. You will have to look at the precise itinerary and use the process of elimination: not on first night or last night or a late port departure day, so any remaining days are the logical formal nights.

It's called Eastern Caribbean. 7 days & 3 ports Roundtrip from Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Dec 10th?

Formal nights will most likely be the first sea day,Tuesday, and the second sea day, Friday. Captain's reception is usually around 7pm in the piazza on one of the formal nights, probably the 1st one.
