TERRIER1 Posted August 13, 2010 #1 Share Posted August 13, 2010 Has anyone stayed in either of these hotels? How are the rooms in terms of size? How is the location? How do they compare with the Hotel Jazz? Thanks for any feedback.
riffatsea Posted August 14, 2010 #2 Share Posted August 14, 2010 Hi, It is hard to find folks who know all these hotels. I looked at both Jazz and Europark but have not stayed at either one. I e-mailed Jazz to ask about the smoking/non smoking situation and never received an answer so although it is very popular on this site, I did not book there. They all get good reviews on Trip Advisor. http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g187497-d623893-Reviews-Villa_Emilia-Barcelona_Catalonia.html http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g187497-d232781-Reviews-EuroPark_Hotel-Barcelona_Catalonia.html http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g187497-d296916-Reviews-Hotel_Jazz-Barcelona_Catalonia.html I'd read carefully and not look at the star level or the popularity ratings. I like the neighborhood where the Europark is located and ended up booking a less expensive hotel not far away from there. The Jazz location is the most central. financialgrl Posted August 20, 2010 #3 Share Posted August 20, 2010 Haven't stayed at either but did stay at Jazz this past June and loved it. I can't swear to it but think the hotel was nonsmoking. I am a former smoker and can spot smoke as soon as it wafts my way and never noticed it in Jazz. Re: Jazz room size - rooms in Europe are pretty small and many only hold 2 (why families here have problems finding a room). Jazz was the largest of the 3 rooms we stayed in Barcelona, Venice and London (but since rooms are small to begin with) "larger" only becomes a relative term. Just saying, probably won't be able to walk into a room the size of what we are used to here in the US, all mine were much smaller.
chipmaster Posted August 20, 2010 #4 Share Posted August 20, 2010 Take a look at hotel olivia: http://www.oliviahotels.es/ We stayed here a couple years back 4 rooms for 11 people, nice, modern, but no breakfast at the time. Location for this place couldn't be beat. Has anyone stayed in either of these hotels? How are the rooms in terms of size? How is the location? How do they compare with the Hotel Jazz? Thanks for any feedback.
