Viking Takes Delivery of Sky

Viking issued a press release on January 26

She was delivered on 1/26/17 and as of today (1/29) she is still in Ancona. Her maiden cruise will begin on February 25 and christening is set for June 22 in Tromso, Norway.

I was so hoping that the SKY would be Christened during our mid April cruise. That would have been fun.

Interesting that nothing else seems to have surfaced since the "delivery" noted above. She should be headed to Venice in a few days - I think they do an invite only/promotional cruise on the 15th.

I've noticed that they are quite sparing with press releases. I don't think we will hear much else until the christening, at least not directly from Viking. The travel press may have something to say about her first cruise.
