How does one know the location of the ship when arranging your own transportation from your hotel in Stockholm?

We would normally just call a cab and have them head to the cruise port. If there is more than one port, the ship will be assigned by then.

You can ask the hotel to confirm the location, especially if you have a phone number with you for the harbormaster (just in case they don't have one). Last time I was there, Stockholm had multiple docking areas and our ship was re-assigned its berth at the last minute and our friends went to the wrong dock before finding out where our ship actually was.
