Amsterdam Hotel with a lot of suite cases

Recommended Posts

No hotels (apart from airporthotels to/from the airport) offer shuttles. Not to/from the airport or to/from the cruise terminal.

The one shuttle to/from hotels against a fee only allow 1 suitcase per person. https://www.schipholhotelshuttle.nl/

If travelling with 2 or more persons a cab might be almost the same price.

Check e.g. these sites:

If we stay at the Citizen M by the Airport is there a way to take public transport to central Amsterdam ? we need to buy a few things for the cruise. a small 3 draw plastic thing a IKEA store or some store like it would be great? then we can take the ship transfer from the Airport the next day.

Thanks

Marty

Yes from the airport there are frequent trains to Amsterdam Centraal Station. Also busnr. 197 will bring to you Leidseplein and Museumplein. All depending where in the city you want ot be.

Ikea however isnot in the city, but in the southeastern part of the city. To get there you need a train to Amsterdam Bijlmer Arena (different trains then to Centraal Station!), from there it will be a walk for another 10/15 minutes.

If I understand right what you need, probably a store like HEMA - city center in Nieuwedijk, not to far from Centraal Station and the Royal Palace on Dam might have it. Check google maps for details.

Something similiar to this?

Search for Hema, Blokker or Action stores. I would skip IKEA; too far away, have to use metro through and in a less than pleasant area of Amsterdam and all for a piece of plastic, too time consuming whilst an Action or Blokker sells the one pictured above (sort or less). :)
