May Day! May Day! May Day!

Do we need help on our weigh-in day

Did you all do well this week

Or did you get a little weak

Did the food and snacks call your name

Or were you very good and in the Hall of Fame

We want to lose, have a loss or say we lost

Not that we ate and now we have a cost

It should be so easy but it's not as we all know

So yes to healthy food..to others we say no

So exercise today after the scale..walk, run or swim

That way we all will get trim

So drink the water day and night

It will help you get light

So have a good week and weekend this month of May

If you celebrate have a Happy Mother's Day

Sorry I was missing in action.

Thank you Cruiserman for starting the thread each week.

A bunch of things were happening. My mother isn't doing

to well, so I'm a little depressed at this time. Her birthday today,

took her a cake, doesn't know me, sad and Mother's Day Sunday.

It's been hard visiting her and when the phone rings, don't know

if calling about her. I wasn't feeling well for awhile and then had

last minute company. So couldn't or didn't want to write.

Hope you understand. Ok enough..didn't want to whine but to

let you know what's going on.

Seem like your all trying hard to fight the fight, losing or

if having a gain working hard to get it off. Your doing a good

job. Can't give up no matter what.

Know some of you are on trips, cruises or will soon be.

Hope everyone that are away are having fun and those leaving soon to enjoy.

Also those of us staying home..wishing that we have a good time too

HI all!

Belle ~ glad to know you're alright but sorry to learn of your trials. That's so sad when a

parent doesn't know a child.

I've got to smarten up as I increased by another 0.4 lbs, setting an new high which would be great if I were a stock!.:o

Good luck to the rest of you & Happy Mothers' Day to the Mothers on here. I bought myself a pretty purple Bougainvillea plant as I love seeing them all over the world & my daughters aren't close by to bring me flowers. :( Sure hope I don't kill it off too quickly!

~ Jo~ :)

Good to hear from you Belle, sorry to hear about the challenges though...:(

Sticking to my bland diet as my system works through my issues. Not really happy about things now, down another 4 to 181 - and that's not for any good reason.

Did start getting some short walks in at night and trying to stay moving in some way without overdoing it. My gut keeps reminding me when I do.

Happy Mothers Day to all those that are - and everyone else have a good week.

Belle, so sorry for all the problems that you are having, but I am glad to see you back. We missed you.

I am down .06 lbs. Not good, but a loss.

shootr, good that you are down, but so sorry that its because you aren't feeling well.

Jo, hang in there. I feel your pain. So many times I was almost at my goal and then I gained instead of losing.

I have 10 weeks until my cruise and 15.4 lbs to go until goal. :(

Happy Mother's Day to all.

Rose

Hey Everybody!

So good to see you back Belle, sorry to hear of all the things that are going on at home. I hope things get better soon.

shootr - Are you feeling any better? How long do you think you'll need to continue on the bland diet for?

I lost 1.3 kilos this week. Normally I would be happy for a loss like this, but I was SUPER SICK last week with tonsillitis - I couldn't eat, I couldn't swallow, I couldn't breathe if I was laying down flat! It was awful.

I didn't eat for 3 days, had to sleep on the recliner so I wouldn't wake up choking, and I was all by myself because my fiance was on a business trip. I only lost 1 kilo. LOL I was hoping for more. LOL

I can eat again! And I'm back at work after 5 weeks off because of my leg. I DO NOT want to be here today! BOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Isabel..Sorry you were so sick and alone.

You had to have this after being down with your

leg. What's worse is being sick and not losing

more..not fair! lol

shootr..So sorry your still not doing well and

having to eat such bland food. Is everything at

least getting better day by day. Hope so.

Rose..So nice you have a cruise to look forward to.

Your losing, no matter if a little at a time. Your

losing! You'll get to goal.

Jo..Hang in. I'm with you, not doing as well as I

should. You know you can do it. Just have to say

no to sweets! Me too!!!! Enjoy your pretty plant.

Love the purple.

Have a good Sunday ..No matter what you do.

Hugs to all the mothers and everyone else too.

Belle, I'm so glad you're back! It's tough to deal with an aged parent but it's something that most of us have to do, sooner or later. It was very difficult for me so I empathize with you.

I just returned from a week of pampered indolence aboard the Celebrity Summit, a lovely ship with very good, tempting food. And I overdid it, as I knew I would. I refuse to weigh myself until Thursday morning and we'll see what we see.

Hello... just discovered this section of Cruise Critic! We leave in 10 days for our cruise and I had hoped to be down 25 lbs by then. Am at 23.6 since January 2 so it still is a possibility! If not, it will be close!

Am doing Smartpoints on WW and it is slow but steady. We cruised in January when I had just started the program and I came back 6 pounds lighter! Not expecting that this time but a pound or two would be great! Lots of walking, stairs and mindful eating.

Nice to know there are others working towards goal! pat

Welcome Pat, glad you could join in - great work so far from the sound of it, congratulations.

RE: Bland diet - slowly but surely. Some spices aren't affecting me at all, but other things trigger bad "events". Apparently red meat is a big no-no, tried twice now with horrible outcomes. All other proteins seem to be ok. Hummus and pretzels = bad, spoonful of peanut butter = ok. So weird trying to get this all figured out, but I will.

Had grilled fish and rice at a local taco shop with the missus and her kids for mother's day. Did ok, check out the cool art:
