phabric Posted September 27, 2015 #1 Share Posted September 27, 2015 We will be staying at Hyatt Place 17th St Dec 24,25. A few of our group of 18, would like to go to a Christmas Eve service. We will have cars. Is there a church near the hotel?
Capt_BJ Posted September 27, 2015 #2 Share Posted September 27, 2015 I'd recommend you contact the hotel directly ... perhaps by e-mail assuming you can't find an answer just by using Google Earth . . . find the hotel, zoom in and look around. Most churches are highlighted on the maps . . . I tried this and quickly found three within a mile . . . http://www.fccftl.com/ http://riovistachurch.com/ http://sunshinecathedral.org/ closer to Christmas I'm sure they will post the times of their holiday services. Langley Cruisers Posted September 27, 2015 #3 Share Posted September 27, 2015 I think it would help if you specified what you are looking for; remember that Christmas Eve in a Catholic church is very different (and longer!) than an afternoon or evening service in a Protestant church. :)

phabric Posted September 27, 2015 Author #5 Share Posted September 27, 2015 (edited) What denomination? What time? A couple are Catholic and most are Protestant. We are all flying in on the 24th and the last flight arrives at 3pm. We will go out for dinner maybe 6-6:30. I have to find a restaurant open (any suggestions) that will have space for 18 adults, so evening, midnight. BlueHerons Posted September 28, 2015 #7 Share Posted September 28, 2015 Now they prefer a Catholic Church. St. Sebastian is at the bottom of 17th Street in Harbor Beach. About a mile away. If any of the Protestants don't want to go to mass, there is Rio Vista Community Church on Federal Highway about a mile away.
