I am seeing that Labadee is still a go for RCCL and Celebrity.

That's what I've seen, too....

I don't think it was "unrest"...just protesters making a fuss. I don't think the protesters realize what RCI brings to their economy...probably because the leaders of Haiti are crooks and nothing goes to the citizens of this country. It's a shame.

Even if we pulled in to that place, we'll remain onboard. It's like hassle/haggle central there. Even the sellers over in Saudi Arabia had better manners.

I have never had a hassle there. And the vendors area is easy to avoid.

Maybe we went at a different time - 2006 it was bad. Could be hopefully better nowadays. We also had someone refuse to give me back my camera after he snapped a pic of us on the jetski and wanted money in return.

It has been redone since 2006. There is a dock now. The vendors have been separated off the path so they can't haggle with you unless you go to their market.

Excellent idea, and thanks for letting us know. At least I hope the civil unrest has died down before we go there in June.
