Katakolon port

We have a tour booked that gets us back to the port town at 12:30 with the ship leaving at 5.

Is the port city a town where we could have lunch and shop or is it in an area where there is nothing really to do.

It is a very small "town" but plenty of tavernas to have a meal or a Mythos. Also a few typically Greek souvenir shops

A one-street town with a few touristy shops & bars & snacks.

OK for a lazy hour or two.

There's a beach of sorts. Pretty bare & pretty poor, but the jellyfish seem to like it ;)

Here's some info on a very nice beach not too far away. Not sure if the train will run that late, but you could take a taxi.

I wrote a report on my blog with lots of pictures for this port. Plenty of shops and places to eat with free wifi. You can see the ship from our lunch table.
