Excursions with limited walking

First time on a cruise

Norwegian Sky 4 days Bahamas

Sept 29

My wife and I have difficulty in walking too far. What are good excursions with limited walking. Are their good bus tours at each stop.

Also, can you go on your own to the Atlantis casino? Is there a fee?

Thank you in advance for any help.

You can take a cab to the Atlantis casino and get in but you cannot use their other facilities.(pool & beach). But they will be happy to let you make a donation in the casino. There will be plenty of cabs right there when you get off the ship.

In Nassau just outside the terminal building are horse and carriages if that is your thing, you can sight-see that way. Also, there is a kiosk right inside the terminal building that will sell excursions and they will probably have something that is geared for your activity level.

Also check the Bahamas Ports of Call boards, almost near the bottom of the main Boards page, you can find out what other have done and recommendations for tours and operators.

Your biggest problem is getting from the ship to the port terminal area. Depending on where your ship is docked, the walk could be nearly a mile. We've been there when they had a little trolley to take you to the terminal, and other times there was nothing, and you had to walk.

I agree with the other posts, take a cab. You won't go wrong.

Every tour has a degree of difficulty on the cruise line's website. You should choose the easiest. Some of them have notes on walking.

We ran into another problem with tours in Carribeans. Their buses are old, have tall steps that are not that easy to climb. You can ask on the ship how difficult the tour is, sometimes they know, sometimes they don't.
