Post-cruise tours in England

I will be on the Apr. 16 Eclipse cruise that end in Southampton, England. I have seen some ads for one-day tours that go to places like Bath, etc. and will drop you off at your hotel. We don't fly out until May 1 so this is an attractive thing to do. Anyone have any experience with this type of tour?

We did a private tour from Southampton to Stonehenge and Windsor Castle. Then dropped off at our hotel in London. We used Luxury Vacations UK.

My wife and I took a train from Southampton to Salisbury; toured the Cathedral and nearby area; overnight stay at an Inn. Next day took a prearranged taxi tour to Stonehenge for a little while; then over to the Gardens at Stourhead - a National Trust Property for several hours; and back to Salisbury to catch a train to London.

We used a company From the website "londontoolkit.com" lots of good info about hotels and transportation. I believe the tour was international friends.

We've taken it twice!

Met at the ship, stopped at Salisbury, Stonehenge, and Windsor castle, then delivered to our hotel door.

We had a tour from International Friends which offers a number of tours that end up at the airport or your hotel.

I just found the website of another tour company we used in the Cotswold. He took us to some beautiful small villages.

As you have 14 days I would suggest getting the train to London then up to the Lake District. After a few days there I would head up to Edinburgh - marvellous city. Few days later get train to york. Head back to London day before flight , get a reasonable airport hotel with shuttle to LHR
