Lugged a couple hundred pounds of cement board up the stairs last night, set half of it (glued and screwed) and I'm UP?? Eh, whatever. PS, remember I lost my Buyer job last year? Then I got another job in November? Well, I quit. I worked for a small company. The owners were an utter nightmare. Not taking customers calls, not returning voicemail, coming in at 10am, leaving at 2pm. Constant frenzy for me to get a tone of work done while they were there. After 3 months I quit. So, back to job hunting. Fortunately my husband and I are well off financially so if I don't work it's no big deal. I stayed the same which I'm fine with. Wishing everyone a good week. I left the work force about 7 years ago to become a stay-at-home grandmother. It was the best thing I have ever done. shootr Posted March 1, 2015 #8 Share Posted March 1, 2015 Been eating OK, but the remodel is moving along and burning calories as I hike the stairs with demolition debris, new tile and mortar, 50 trips to the hardware store, etc. etc. As I write this at 1:30 am, sleep is the issue now... Pulled up the toilet, ripped up more flooring, put down underlayment, cut the niche holes, and laid all the whole tiles I could - can't run the saw after 10PM. Bought a wetsaw - in the end it's cheaper than renting one and being rushed. These are the tub niches that will hold the shampoo bottles and stuff.
