Galveston wine purchase

Is there somewhere to walk to from the Galveston port to buy wine before we get on our Sunday cruise?

Texas liquor law strikes again. There is a liquor store just a short walk from the cruise terminal but the bad news is that it cannot open on Sunday. AFAIK the closest store with a wine selection on Sunday (after noon of course) is at least 1.5 miles away. Suggest not waiting till Sunday to get your wine if at all possible.

Kroger has a pretty good selection, it is even cheaper than Total wine and Spec's for many of the bottles

Wine can be purchased after 12pm on Sundays, where allowed, and all liquor stores are closed on Sundays. There is a D'Vine store on the Strand, walking distance from the pier, where they hae a limited selection.

Best bet was Tillie's above, buy your wine before Sunday.
