Been to Margaritaville...don't really want to pay the ungodly fees for beers...is there a good beach bar with better prices and a good beach that we can grab a taxi to?

we just walked past Margaritaville and the next bar had buckets for next to nothing with conch fritters as well - delicious

 Really ... How much were the buckets of beer? They weren't dirt cheap when we walked over there.

We didn't find it very much less expensive especially since they didn't add a 15% tip like Margaritaville does. It certainly was way less crowded.

I walked down the beach last week and saw a sign for $2.00 local beer with what seemed to be free chairs (only one umbrella though). It was between Margaritaville and Jack's Shack.

The Sandbar is great! Right by Manta House and close to downtown Cockburn. Right on the water, great conch dishes, etc. Short cab ride will get you there in 10 minutes from cruise center.

We have stayed at Manta House during two trips to Grand Turk. Excellent.

we sat right near Margaritaville but just walked the short distance to the first beach bar, got a bucket of beers and conch fritters - yumm - and so much cheaper and QUICKER - even though we were literally 10ft from the bar, it took hours to get a drink and we could walk, get a bucket, and be back in less than half an hour
