SJSULIBRARIAN Posted June 29, 2016 #7 Share Posted June 29, 2016 Nice close up of the Star reminds me that when my DH and I resumed cruising again in 2002, after years of foreign air travel and Hawaii, our first ship was the Star Princess for an Alaskan cruise. oma&opa Posted June 29, 2016 #8 Share Posted June 29, 2016 We're on the Noordam in a couple of weeks. Wonder if she's still flying her RED flag?? Anyone heard anything recently? We are preparing with extra hand cleaners and our own salt and pepper. Any other Code Red hints for us?
Boytjie Posted June 29, 2016 #9 Share Posted June 29, 2016 Reminds me too of the Caribbean Princess, our first cruise ship in 2007.

We are preparing with extra hand cleaners and our own salt and pepper. Any other Code Red hints for us? Do they fly Bravo flag (red) for that? Bravo means "taking in or discharging or carrying dangerous goods. As for staying healthy, the best advice is to wash your hands thoroughly and frequently. I don;t rely on hand sanitizers - not all of them kill viruses.

Rare rafinmd Posted June 29, 2016 #14 Share Posted June 29, 2016 (edited) There she is... A little too early to tell, but it looks like she's turning around. Once docked, the Noordam should show up in her bow camera. Right now a closeup of the bow would be nice. There are no diving boards so the line throwers would be hanging over the front deck (as in the Prinsendam) Roy Edited June 29, 2016 by rafinmd Added thought
Rare Copper10-8 Posted June 29, 2016 Author #15 Share Posted June 29, 2016 Nice shot of Serenity coming in, eh Roy; those lifeboats and tenders have their own dedicated deck. How does that work?

See the two large "cut outs" that contain/house her three tenders, two lifeboats and a fast rescue boat. HAL. for instance, has the boats housed above your head as you walk below them on LP or Prom Deck
