WE are going in April 2016 and wanted to know prior to booking a cabin which side of Infinity would be best it there is a difference? When you go through the Canal is one side better than the other? When docking is the port always on port side of ship? Trying to book while 123 is still in effect. Thanks for any help or opinions.

We traveled the same way as you are going and we were on Port side and had a great view of all that was happening.

Wonderful running commentary so from our balconey got to spot the extras like monkeys and basking crocs as they were mentioned.

Also the prison!!

It will not matter because there are two lanes in each group of locks and you never which ship will be assigned to which lane. To full experience the canal, it should be viewed from all parts of the ship, not just your balcony.

That being said...there are no bad places to watch the transit, but some are better than others...:):)

You will have great views from either side. Chances are unless there is a mobility issue, you will scurry about outside running port to starboard to ensure not missing anything! Celebrity even opens access to the helipad. Very cool. If I recall correctly, Infinity docked to the port side at every stop. Enjoy!

Mark e,

It will be hot and humid. it can be cloudy and rain off and on during the day or if you are lucky sunny! We did have sun for a brief time in afternoon, but only one rain shower that lasted aobut 30 minute.

It was the highlight of the cruise the day we went through the canal. I would do it again in a heartbeat.
