I've be4en using and Olympus "Tough" camera for the limited amount of underwater photography that I do. This was out at Sand Key, about seven miles due south of Key West...

No, I go usually twice a year from New Jersey staying seven nights each time. I arrive on a Saturday and go out on the Floridays the next day on one of their afternoon snorkeling trips. They almost always go out to Sand Key which is my favorite place to snorkel.

If you ever stay in Key West, the best snorkeling is a little over 30 miles up the Keys. Looe Key blows away Sand Key. You can take a boat out of Bahia Honda State Park. It's totally worth the drive. In my opinion, it's the best dive/snorkel spot in the Keys.

I agree that it's worth the drive to snorkel at Looe Key! We've gone out on boats through the park, as well as Strike Zone and Looe Key Reef Resort. All are fine---mainly depends on timing and availability.
